Girls Day Out!

For my birthday I got Princess on Ice tickets. Every since Brock took Lily to Disney on Ice, after I had Paisley I have wanted to take Lily. She just looked like she had so much fun. Well I didn't expect Lily to come down with a cold on Tuesday and have the worst of it hit her on Saturday. So it made our trip a little bit interesting. She was pretty miserable. I think that she did have a fun time, but there were times that I know she would have much rather been home in her bed. Our seats were really good. We sat on the second row and could see the Princesses up close. It was really fun and I would totally do it again.

We started off by taking Trax to the Energy Solutions Arena. Then we decided to feed the girls before so that we didn't have to pay the price of the food there.

Grandma did buy them a princess prize while we were there. Which they all loved.

This is just a picture to try to show you how sad her eyes looked.

A self portrait of us in our seats.

Overall we had a great time. I really enjoyed spending time with Lily. I love her so much and she is growing up so fast. I know that I look back and wonder were the time has gone. I love my little family and I am so thankful for each one of them.

Fun Filled October!

A lot went on in Ocotber. We went camping, went to the Witches Festival at Gardner Village, had two Halloween parties and of course Trick-or-treating.

My two beautiful girls in hunter orange.

Lily thought she was tough enough to pull the wagon with all of our pumpkins. She did a pretty good job considering how heavy it was.

Worthen Halloween Party!

I made Lily sit in a pumpkin her first Halloween. So we did the same to Paisley.

We had a great Ocotber. Full of fun and excitement.

September!

Maybe one day I will get better at posting. But probably not, so I am going to update for my sake.

September got off to a good start with Brock going to Alaska on a fishing trip with his dad, brother, and Grandpa. He had a great time and caught a 250 lb Halibut. Here are a few pictures from the trip.

Sorry this picture is so small. But I am sure that you get the point.

The only other thing that happened was that Brock passed the Bar. Which is very exciting. We are so proud of him.

Paisley @ 6 Months

I just love that smile. The story behind the outfit is that when Brock gets her dressed he always does something strange. So I decided one night to give her an 80's outfit. I guess she just felt comfortable in it.

We survived our first trip to the ER!

On Tuesday night we went to dinner with some friends. Our kids were playing and having a good time. They were sitting on a rock wall that was about 2 feet tall. Next thing I see is Lily leaning over and missing the wall and falling right on the side of her head. When we got her up, she had blood coming from her ear. I start to panic a little bit, but I tried to keep my cool. Brock would probably say other wise. But I would say I stayed pretty calm. We got her in the car and started to head home. We were at Gardener Village (Sandy), so we had a little drive. I decided to call the doctors office to see what they say I should do. They don't answer, so I plan on just going to the ER. Well after waiting a long time and having a really bad ER experience Lily gots a CT scan of her head that looked fine, and she had not ruptured her ear drum. So we are just glad that she is okay and that there was no major injuries.

Fun Filled July!

Here comes a big post to tell what we did in the month of July. I feel like we have kept really busy. I am hoping that things will start to slow down. But it never seems to.

This first picture is actually from the end of June at the Lehi Parade. I just love that it is with my dad and my grandpa so I had to put it in.

On July 2nd my little brother, or should I say younger brother since he is 6'6", returned home from his mission. We are so excited to have him back. Sorry the picture is not great. There were so many people there to get there missionaries.

Paisley also swam for the first time. She hasn't been able to swim before, because I was trying to get Lily use to swimming with her life jacket.

We took Lily to the 1st Annual Foam Day put on by the Lehi Fire Department. She wasn't a huge fan, but it is definitely something we will do again.

We went camping for the first time. I had to document Paisley's first time camping. And also Lily had her first really 4-wheeler ride. I have not let her go very far until this year.

I just wanted to add how proud I am of Brock. He has spent the last few months studying for the Bar and took it last Tuesday and Wednesday. He studied so hard and missed the girls so much. I love you!

Congratulations Brock!

We are so proud of you. Thanks for working so hard. We love and appreciate all that you do for us.

I love to see the Temple!

We went to see Brock at work one day and we took the girls to Temple Square. Lily really enjoyed playing with the water and Paisley enjoyed sleeping. I really like the cute picture of Lily sitting, I am not sure what it was that she was doing, but it was cute.

Check Ups!

The girls had their 2 month and 2 year check ups a while ago. Paisley weighed in at 12 lbs 4 ounces and was 23 1/2 inches long. Lily weighed 35 lbs and was 37 inches long. I just had to post this picture because I thought that they looked so cute. Lily really loves her little sister and I am so glad.

Time with Daddy!

We took the oppurtunity to go to the zoo with Brock when he had a few days off. Lily enjoyed it, even though there were not many active animals.

This is how Paisley enjoyed the zoo.

Much needed update.

Brock has had the laptop for finals, so I am finally getting around to updating my blog. Sorry some of the stuff is old, but better late than never. Here is Easter, Paisley's blessing day, and her first set of pictures. There will be a few more post to come so that my blog is updated.

Paisley's Pictures!

My brother-in-law was patient enough to take some pictures of Paisley for me. He did a good job and I am thankful for him and my sister for doing them.

Paisley's Blessing Day!

We blessed Paisley on the 3rd of May. It was a wonderful day. We enjoyed spending time with family and our thankful that they were able to share the day with us. Thanks to my mom and dad for letting us invade there house so that we could all fit in one place for lunch. Thanks to my mom for all that she did and to all those who brought food.

We got a family picture. This one is not great. But either Lily was looking or Brock was looking.

I think she looks so cute! But I am a little partial.

Easter 2009!

We struggled getting a good pictures of Lily in her Easter dress and with her sister, but she still looked really cute!

Lily finding her Easter basket.

She had a fun time finding the eggs and just wanted to keep looking even when there were no more eggs to find.

She didn't really enjoy coloring eggs, but she did enjoy banging them together.

Finally Finished!

Paisley has had jaundice since we left the hospital. Which means that we have been fortunate enough to get to take her to the hospital about every other day to have her levels checked. For her it means getting her heel pricked. Her jaundice has also given us the oppurtunity to have her spend several days under the lights in this lovely suitcase.

For some odd reason she liked to sleep in the top corner, with her face right up against the side.

But I am glad to say that on Sunday we found out that she is now coming down on her own and that we don't have to get her levels checked again.

Happy Birthday Lily!

We celebrated Lily's 2nd birthday yesterday. I can't believe that she is already two. It is bittersweet. She was super cute when we talked about her birthday. I was looking for cake ideas one day and she just happened to see me looking at a Cinderella one and it was over from there. So here are a few pictures from her birthday party.

Here is Lily's Cinderella birthday cake that she would not stop talking about.

Just a few of her opening some of her presents.

She got a lot of Princess stuff and as you can see she loved it. She is my little Princess what can I say.

The forgotten child . . .

Until this week, Lily had never spent a night away from us. She pretty much had our undivided attention. So, you can imagine that this week has turned her little world upside down. I thought she needed some special attention, so I convinced Brock to take her to Disney on Ice. It turned into a full-fleged daddy-daughter date. Like every good date, it began at McDonald's. Then a ride on the train (which Lily loved).

After the train came the show (which she loved - and sat through the entire thing).

They were able to get great seats at the last minute (thank you recession?), but Lily enjoyed the view from the stairs more.

She was a big Mickey Mouse fan, but Mermaid won her over. She cheered for the Mermaid and yelled "NO NO" at the giant Ursela.

Lily had a great time (and Brock only fell asleep once during the show). Hopefully this is the first of many daddy-daughter dates.
